Prague gives you two quite different ways to spend New Year's Eve: settle into dinner in Old Town, or eat earlier and head straight to a dance floor. Decide that first. A dinner ticket, a club ticket and a VIP upgrade can all have different inclusions, even when they promise the same midnight countdown.
This guide covers Thursday, 31 December 2026, welcoming 2027. EPIC and Medusa have published events for that date. Their offers below were checked on 9 October; prices and availability can change before you book.
EPIC: dinner elsewhere, then EDM and the countdown
EPIC Prague is the straightforward choice here if your priority is a large electronic club night. Its official NYE event starts at 22:00 and lists Bon Finix, Manene, Pauli Gabrieli and Richard Reynolds, with EDM and mainstream music. Published admission is 890 CZK for BASIC or 1,690 CZK for VIP. The event is 18+ and lists last entry at 03:59.
Plan dinner around those doors rather than starting a long restaurant meal at 22:00. If your group wants to be inside for midnight, allow time for the journey, the queue and the cloakroom. Last entry is the deadline for admission; it tells you very little about how long a queue might take.
The VIP price needs a second look if you want a table. Check what that ticket includes and whether a seated reservation or bottle-service minimum is separate. Agree on the ticket tier before people start buying individually.
Medusa: reserve the whole evening or join at 23:30
Medusa, at Melantrichova 5 in Old Town, publishes two options on its 31 December 2026 page. Dinner & Party costs 5,990 CZK and includes seating from 18:30, a buffet until 00:30, a welcome Prosecco and a midnight toast. The band runs from 19:30 to 23:00; DJs follow until 06:00.
Party-only entry costs 1,500 CZK and starts at 23:30. It includes the midnight toast and DJ party, with no food or guaranteed seating. That distinction matters more than the headline price: a group hoping to sit together over dinner needs the dinner format.
Medusa publishes smart casual dress and a refund deadline of 96 hours before the event. Read the current checkout terms, and ask about dietary requirements before paying for the buffet. Its euro figures are reference prices; the venue states that payment is charged in CZK.
Prefer hip-hop or a smaller bar?
M1 Lounge is worth checking if your group prefers hip-hop and R&B. Origin Bar is another profile to read if cocktails and a seated start matter more than a large dance floor. Ask either venue for its offer dated 31 December 2026, including arrival time and the full price.
A previous year's gala menu or sold-out ticket announcement cannot tell you what this year's booking includes. Keep Old Town sightseeing separate from your entry deadline
An evening walk around Old Town can fit before dinner. Trying to leave a packed square just before midnight and reach a club for its countdown is a much tighter plan. Pick where you actually want to be at 00:00, then work backwards to your restaurant reservation and departure time.
For a group, save the venue address and ticket on each person's phone. Choose one meeting point away from the busiest square if you become separated. A warm coat is useful for the walk and the queue, even if you plan to spend most of the night indoors.
Work out the journey home before the first drink
Use PID's night transport timetables for the route from your chosen venue to your accommodation. Recheck the holiday service closer to 31 December, especially if a journey planner currently shows an ordinary Thursday timetable. Save a taxi pickup alternative as well.
